We are a mother-and-daughter creative team, connected not just by family, but by the landscapes that shaped us.
Heather began painting as a way of holding onto the places she loved. Born and raised in South Africa, her art carries the warmth of the African sun, red dust on bare feet, summer thunderstorms, vineyards, wild animals, and the ever-changing skies of the highveld. Now living in Hampshire, she has learned to love the softer beauty of the English countryside—misty mornings, hedgerows full of life, wildflowers in spring, and the gentle greys of a country that feels calm and quiet. Her work blends all of these memories, using bold brushstrokes, texture, and colour to capture not just a place, but a feeling.
Her daughter, Phillipa, grew up surrounded by paintbrushes, canvases, and the quiet hum of creativity. Also born in South Africa and now calling the UK home, she has found her own artistic style—digital art and graphic design. She has worked in branding and publishing—supporting authors in bringing their stories to life. Phillipa is now developing her work as an illustrator and creates both digital prints and hand-carved lino prints inspired by nature and storytelling.
Together, we represent two generations of creativity—one traditional, one digital—both inspired by the landscapes we’ve lived in and the journey we’ve shared across continents, cultures, and seasons of life.
